Surfing Santas Waves of Giving

Beyond the festive costumes and epic wipeouts, Surfing Santas beats with a heart of giving. Every shred, every cheer, and every dollar raised goes towards making a wave of difference in the community. The event proudly supports the Florida Surf Museum, preserving the rich history and culture of Florida surfing for generations to come. It also extends a helping hand to Grind for Life, offering financial and emotional support to cancer patients and their families battling this challenging journey.

Grind For Life

Once again, the Florida Surf Museum (FSM) is honored to share a portion of the proceeds from the 2023 Surfing Santas event with our non-profit partner, Grind For Life (GFL). We were able to write them a check for $13,000. Donations to GFL go towards helping cancer patients with expenses they incur that are not covered by insurance, as well as their community outreach programs for youth. You can learn more about their mission here: GrindForLife.org

Since the beginning of Surfing Santas in 2014, FSM has donated $70,000 to GFL. Additionally, GFL has received nearly $21,000 in donations at their booth on the day of the event.

Local Athletes Benefit from Donations

But the generosity doesn’t stop there. Surfing Santas and the Florida Surf Museum also extend their support to local college and high school sports teams, ensuring young athletes have the resources and support they need to chase their dreams.

Florida Surf Museum also made donations of $1,000 each, to the Florida Institute of Technology Surf Club, the Satellite High School Swim Team and the Cocoa Beach High School Girl’s Basketball Team. These groups helped us with setting up and tearing down the site on Surfing Santas day as well as assisting with the sale of Surfing Santa merchandise during the event. We couldn’t have done it without them.
