Surfing Santas of Cocoa Beach is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of giving back to the community with a $10,000 donation to Grind for Life, marking the 15th year Surfing Santas has supported the organization and its mission to help cancer patients and their families.

Grind for Life was founded by two-time sarcoma cancer survivor Mike Rogers and provides financial assistance to cancer patients and their families who must travel long distances for treatment at doctors, hospitals and cancer treatment centers.

The organization helps qualified patients with expenses that can quickly become a financial burden during cancer treatment, including travel and lodging costs, meals and other personal needs.

Beyond financial assistance, Grind for Life works to educate, encourage and inspire cancer patients and their families through Rogers’ own remarkable story of cancer survival and recovery.

For Surfing Santas, supporting Grind for Life has become an important part of the organization’s annual Christmas Eve tradition in Cocoa Beach.

What began as a fun gathering of surfers dressed as Santa Claus has grown into one of Cocoa Beach’s most recognizable annual events, bringing together surfers, families, visitors, local businesses and the community while raising money for worthy causes.

This $10,000 donation represents more than another successful year of fundraising—it represents 15 years of helping Grind for Life support people facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
